Located a few hundred meters from the town center, they were no longer in operation for many years, but that is why they have become the habitat of many species of waterfowl and consequently attract all those who deal with birdwatching.

Among the species that nest there are the Avocet, the Knight of Italy, the Little Tern and Little Egret.
Among the species that use the salt fields seasonally there is the Grey Heron and the Kingfisher and the Pink Flamingo with about 500 individuals surveyed by LIPU.
