Brief notes on the climate of the island of San Pietro
The island of San Pietro, as indeed the whole of Sardinia, it is particularly windy. The predominant wind is the Mistral that blows from the northwest.
Its effects are clearly visible on the vegetation and especially on pine trees from very sparse hair that are often bowed to the southeast.
Just from southeast blows the other most frequent wind after the mistral: the sirocco wich arrives from Africa and is particularly hot and humid.
The sky is rarely cloudy because of the strong wind, the speed of which in winter reaches up to 100 Kilometres per hour.
In the absence of wind in general the climate is fairly mild, and it is not rare even in January, enjoy some beautiful sunny days.
